Phew! My life has been veritably insane the last few weeks, but I finally have time today to share some incredible material that’s on the Web. Well, I like it, at least. Here we go:

Wow! It’s been a busy week! The Olympics have totally consumed my evenings and my RSS reader, so this week’s link lovin’ will all be related to those fantastic games. Here we go:

OK. I finally put blogging on my to-do list, so in theory, I should be blogging a bit more. It’s too hot to go outside, so you should do some reading this weekend. Here we go:

You’d think having a new laptop would increase my productivity, but no, that hasn’t happened. In fact, I think I’m even lazier than before. Who knew that was possible? Anyway, I haven’t shared with you all what I’ve been reading (laziness has increased in that department, too), and here’s some material to get you up to speed.

Today’s link-lovin’ is brought to you by ScribeFire, this rock awesome little Firefox add-on that let’s me blog without logging in to WordPress.
That said, let’s get down to business. I honestly didn’t think I’d have much for you to read this week, but I was surprised by how much was on my list. If you read anything this week, be sure to check out “We all scream for ice cream.”

First of all, I wanted to draw your attention to some of the changes I’ve made around here this weekend. I finally customized the header image, so now it features the mug of yours truly. In the sidebar, I added icons of sites I frequent with links to my profiles. I’ve added a plug-in that allows commenters to subscribe to comments via email, and I’ve figured out the problem with the comment RSS feed, so you can subscribe to that now, too.
OK, enough of that. Short list of reading this week, and I apologize in advance that my mind was in the gutter for two of these links, but they’re sorta funny. Enjoy!

I haven’t done this for a month, but here’s the best of what I’ve been reading. Consider this your summer reading…

Hooray! It’s Friday! I have had a crazy week. I started out in a funk, had some awesome snuggle/tennis time with The Shock, had a date with the hubby, ate great Mexican food (always a mood booster), and was smacked around by all the cool things God is doing in my life and in my friends’ (especially Heather, Heather, Amy, and Betsy) lives. And I read some gravy stuff, too. If you only read one thing this week, check out “How To Hug a Baby.”

Anyone else glad it’s Friday? Man, I am. Aside from the fact that I had a cavity filled this morning and that no one showed up for Awesome Movie Fun Club, today wasn’t too bad. I got a nap this afternoon, and Chris and I got to eat all of the FonDoom we made for Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. So my jaw really hurts, but I have a great list of reading for you this weekend!

Hooray! It’s Friday, and it’s been quite a week around here what with moving A Fool of Myself to SarahJoAustin.com, but the transition is complete, and here is a handful of reading for you to do this weekend:
- Great Steak. My pal Linden started a new blog a few months ago called 100 Things That Make Me Happy Besides Money where she explains the things in life that make her happy. Yesterday, she described her love of a quality steak cooked rare, and I am on the Steak Boat with her. My parents raised me to appreciate an above-par steak, and I must agree that there is absolutely nothing like one that melts in your mouth!
- How To Correctly Complain About Restaurant Service. I’ve only recently subscribed to The Consumerist, and I wish I’d had this post on Valentine’s Day. Even though I worked in food service in college, I guess I never thought about the proper way to complain about service you receive, but now I know, so I’ll never incorrectly complain again!
- When Young Teachers Go Wild on the Web. As a former educator, I found this article from the Washington Post fascinating. How do teachers (or all of us, I suppose) separate our professional and personal lives on the Web? Or is that even possible? Should anyone face consequences at work for what they did (and posted on the Web) in their personal lives?
- Reduplicatives—Double Delight. Bling bling, itty bitty, jibber jabber. Did you know there’s a name for these fun little echo words? They’re called reduplicatives, and Daily Writing Tips has a whole post of ‘em! I love grammar!
I’m deliberately making link-lovin’ a bit shorter, in case you hadn’t noticed. Of everything I bookmarked from the week, the posts above were the ones at the very top of my list. To see other articles and posts I love for some quirky reason, check out my Delicious page and my Google Reader Shared Items page.
