The Inauguration

I must admit that thus far in my 23 years, my one experience with blogging hasn’t been well-received. Who wants to be forced to blog for a rhetoric class, for crying out loud? Regardless, I’ve been tossing around ideas for a blog for a while now, and quite frankly I’ve lost some of my ideas because I don’t have enough room in my brain (and I think I shake them out while running). Running, by the way, will probably be something I write about a lot because it’s a new fun thing for me with which I’m mildly obsessed (much like this blog will become in a few days).

I guess what started this whole blog-thing is that I don’t journal like I sometimes want to because I know no one is going to read it. Here, I can toss out my thoughts to the sea like a message in a bottle and hope someone reads it, even if it is just my husband or my mom. BTW, I’m keeping this whole thing pseudo-anonymous because I don’t want people I know or discuss to know that this is me writing.

Regardless, writing is way better than watching Conan O’Brien reruns, and I have an awesome office that is just mine, and this is sorta my way of forcing myself to use it every once in a while. Otherwise, I’d be in the other room with my laptop on my lap wasting time, which is another reason for a blog: I didn’t want to do my programming homework tonight, nor did I want to grade papers, so I read a chapter of Radical Reformission and created a blog.

Oh, gosh, I sound lame, but, hey, the whole idea for this blog came from one of my all-time favorite quotes, and I’m more than willing to make a fool of myself here.
